The story of Matt & Jill, et. al. is an epic sweep of compulsive self-destruction and emotional sadomasochism. I've read all five books and I can't think of a writer in erotica who writes with this particular combination of dynamic characters, superheated eroticism, humor, and bleakness. This is the Dr. Zhivago of erotic fiction.This book in particular really gets deep in the weeds of the compulsive motivations of Jill, Gary, Matt, Francesca. These are all tragicaly flawed characters that you love to hate, hate to love, identify with but don't respect, sympathize with and disdain all at once.
I give this one four stars rather than the usual five because I'm not really into the hardcore cuckoldry that Jill engages in with Matt. Vaughn does to the reader, in terms of the physical side of what takes place in the book, very much what Jill does to Matt... the tease, the hint of spectacularly filthy payoff, the let down, the trick. Like Lucy with the fooball. As I read this volume, I found the sex less thrilling as I got more and more drawn into the sordid emotional landscapes of the characters.
I highly recommend this entire series. It's an eye opener, and it pulls the safety net of consequence-free erotica out from under the reader. This is mentally, physically, emotionally brutal reading. But worthwhile.

After Jill goes dogging with Gary, Matt no longer trusts her and takes his engagement ring back. He instantly regrets it, because Jill, no longer technically engaged, entertains notions of marrying Gary. Gary, after a torrid weekend in her bedroom, proposes to her.
Matt and the ever-willing Francesca next door keep meeting, but now Gary, Jill and Francesca’s husband Sebastian suspect them. Gary, already blackmailing Matt with something else, then gets proof and has one more secret to hang over Matt’s head.
Francesca gives Matt devotion and kindness in contrast to Jill’s deliberate cruelty. But is there a future for them? She’s 11 years older and has four children. Matt starts flirting with becoming Francesca’s dom and sees a submissive streak in her. But he can’t shake his own submissive role with Jill.
Everyone’s dishonesty heightens. Matt cheats on Jill with Francesca. Francesca cheats on her husband. Matt hints to Francesca he might leave Jill but has serious doubts. Jill’s cheating on Matt with Gary, and also with David. She may also be cheating with her boss and possibly with her long-ago best-ever master, who may or may not be her stepfather. But she doesn’t level with Matt about any of this, because as his mistress, she doesn’t have to.
Gary’s pretending to Matt he respects their engagement but shows another face to Jill when alone with her. Jill treats Matt like garbage usually, but when he’s close to his breaking point she suddenly reverts to his being the love of her life. As Francesca pressures Matt to leave Jill and marry her, Jill suddenly wants to resume their engagement. But she wants her honeymoon to be with Gary, with Matt merely along for humiliation.
Gary’s ex Jen seems all lovey-dovey with Matt and Jill when they run into one another but is really angling to learn whether Jill is Matt’s new girlfriend, which Jen considers a betrayal. Jen meanwhile carries on with Gary’s good friend, the hung (and married) Steve.
These people are all insane. Matt doesn't know if he's coming or going. The sex is wall to wall. And you can't wait to find out what happens.

I finished reading this book in the early hours of this morning, then couldn't sleep for over an hour thinking about what I had read, first thing this morning,it was still on my mind, at work, I was still thinking about it. Jeez, I need to get a grip. Guess you could say this series has had me gripped. I'm flummoxed, What can I say.
Well, Its highly charged, extremely salacious, it has a lot more emotion. Part #5 of this series and Matt tries to make a stand of defiance against Jill, only for it to backfire. This twisted cuckoldress is unrelenting in her humiliation and belittling of Matt. And this pushes him further into the arms of his sexy neighbour, he takes huge risks knowing that their cheating could be discovered. The scenes between them are passionate and raw hmmmmmmm. I struggle with Jill's feelings for Gary, god he is awful. Bring, David into the picture and or her boss and it's super arousing. I don't want to put in any spoilers so I'll leave with, if you haven't read this series, I highly recommend you do. A cuckold story with real emotion. And lots and lots of filthy sex!!

With Gary's continuing harassment of Matt , he orders Jill to go " dogging ". Knowing where they are going Matt arrives and witnesses the whole show and arrives home before Jill . When she enters, a full fledge argument ensues with Matt removing her engagement and not caring to put it back on . Jill in turn says , since we're no longer engaged , I'm free to date again and invites Dave to her home .Matt must once again watch as she and Dave get it on . Much later Jenn also pays a visit with some hot sex with Jill . It's during this time that she notices Jill's hood piercing and questions her about it . Jill tries to be coy about it , but Matt is sure that Jenn knows it came from Gary . She also tells Matt to leave Jill , as she will make his life hell . Matt in the mean time is still seeing Francesca , who confesses her love for him and wants to help celebrate his Birthday and Valentines Day . How can this happen as Jill has made plans for Matt as well, and has warned him not to be wanker .How will Matt be able to keep both woman happy without Gary or Sebastian finding out ? These and other questions you might have , will all be answered once you buy this book.
