These books are short and a very easy read. The writing is descriptive so we are revisiting characters we have seen in previous books in the series and we are checking in on other members of the pack and vampire friends. A good quiet read that is very entertaining.

After reading many shifter stories this is the first time I heard that a family or group of tigers are referred to as a streak. Its not usual to see such a big strong shifter as a sub. He has suffered because of it. The terror of how others will react if they find out keeps him filled with fear and behaving in a scared or paranoid manner. To the point that he denies the existence of both his mate and tiger suppressing the need for both despite dire consequences. The compelling writing by the author makes you anxious to read the next book.
I really liked Charles in Olivia Black’s Tiger’s Choice. I thought he was getting a raw deal with Sam. I mean he allowed himself to be hidden like a dirty little secret by his True Mate. I could totally feel and understand his pain. I loved that he took a stand and was willing to accept that he was worth more from his mate, especially as his mate was unwilling to tell him why. I loved how Ms. Black handled Charles’ angst and determination.
In spite of how Sam treated Charles, Ms. Blackstill managed to make Sam likeable. We were already predisposed to like him from previous appearances in the Silver Bullet series. I wanted to smack Sam upside the head for the way he was treating Charles, but Ms. Black did a great job of laying out the why. We could see that his new pack wouldn’t care about his sexual desire and needs but it was also easy to understand why Sam was so afraid.
I thought this story was well written and enjoyable. The characters were fully developed and their journeys felt real and believable. I continue to enjoy this series and look forward to seeing more patrons of the Silver Bullet get their happily every after.

This book is very angst driven. Both of the main characters can't come clean with their feelings to each other causing misunderstandings. While I liked the book, could have done with a little more suspense and drama.
Another great book in this series by Olivia Black. It can be read as a stand alone but you get more fun out of it if you read the series in order. She cross mixes characters from past stories to make one awesome one. Another hit to add to the re-read pile.
This story had a good premise and I could imagine it being a really good story. Unfortunately, the author failed to flush the story out. It read more as an outline than an actual story. Charles is a main character yet we never get to know him. We never are given to understand why a Dom would put with being keep a secret for a year, not telling his friends and having to get blood delivered. None of it made any sense and the author didn't provide a rationale for any of it either. It was so glossed over that you don't develop any feelings for either character nor care what happens to them. I mostly kept reading hoping that something would happen- maybe the father would come back-but nothing. I was bored. Not recommended.
